My name is Max Boreham and my company AQUASCAPES is based in Welwyn, Hertfordshire, UK. Since I was a small child I have always had a passion for all things to do with water and fish. All my saturday and part time jobs were in the aquatics trade and on leaving school I went to Sparsholt College in Hampshire to study Fisheries management. During my time there I was lucky enough to work on the chalk streams with a river keeper and to work at a trout fishery. This experience was invaluable and only served to increase my desire to work in this field. I gained my National Diploma (graded Merit) and left college to take a gap year working as an under keeper in Devon to further widen my knowledge. 

In the Autumn of 2003 I came home to Hertfordshire to start my own pond and lake management business. Since that time I have designed, built and maintained many garden ponds, school ponds and water features for businesses, some of which you will find on my portfolio pages. I have also carrried out maintenance on large lakes and more recently I have secured a contract for river work. In the early days I was happy to take on other gardening projects, and I found that I enjoyed this as well so have incorperated some landscaping services into my business.

During the last 3 years I have attended further courses in river management held by the GCT to keep up to date with current practise and I hold certificates for spraying(PA1,PA2), Chain-Saw work, Health and Saftey and Horticulture Skills inc.tractor driving.

I am now working alongside CARLEY'S AQUATICS MANAGEMENT SERVICES who have been in this business for over 12 years, with the same background as myself, but with the added specialist knowledge of Koi ponds and Aquarium management. Together we are able to offer expertise in all areas of aquatic management. We have all our own tools and machines, a boat and access to extra labour as required, which means we can be very flexible to our customer's needs.
